Query Statement: I’m so much confused about my field. Right now I’m an engineering student but I don’t want to continue it in future. My aim is to become a chartered accountant but now at this level I have so much double thoughts in my mind that should I be able to complete it on time or it will take many years. Secondly I want to know that the scope of Pakistan’s CA is only till here or it is worldwide recognized having good job opportunities.

My major confusion is the selection between CA and BBA which I want to do from IBA.

Please kindly suggest me the best for my career.

Education Level: Intermediate

Subject Related Skills: I’m a hard working student but honestly speaking I’m not very intelligent.  I had participated in Gik mathematics Olympiad and secured 3rd position

Non Subject Related Skills: I’m good at writing abstracts and I’ve so much interest in declamation

Interests: I have never explore my interest in any particular subject .Whatever I decide to do, I put all my efforts in that

Career Objective: Already mentioned above

Counseling(History): My family members say that I should go for CA because they thought that as I’m a hard working person and has a serious approach for my career so can do that but I’m confused that what should I do either CA or BBA?

Please opt for CA and/or ACCA now. CA and ACCA is more appreciated abroad. It is rigorous degree but upon completion, you would get a perfect job, Insha Allah.

I recommend CA for you, good luck!

Thank you for your query.

There is no need to be confused. As you are interested in the field of CA, then go for it.
The field of CA has a very vast scope in Pakistan as well as abroad.  There is some sort of fields in Accountancy that they have a brilliant scope like CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA.
Secondly, as you mentioned that you are currently engineering student but don’t want to continue at this stage, then keep in mind if you have completed you 1 year and now studying in 2 year, then just complete your studies, don’t let it.
If you are currently enrolled in the engineering, and want to skip, then you can now. As you have mentioned that you are hardworking and intelligent student, then, why don’t you concentrate on your engineering degree? Many of the girls are perusing for engineering and in different field as well and they are doing so well.

Good Luck :)

If you already are in Engineering College, you should put full interest in that and go for it.

If you have just passed F.Sc. and not sure what to do further, then you have an opportunity to decide.

I want you to know, C.A. is not a degree, and it is a membership of the institute of Chartered Accountants.

Normally, if you want to work as C.A. in a foreign country, particularly Europe and North America, you will have to qualify their requirements, by exam.

If you go abroad as an engineer, you have better chances of getting job in your field. You can do C.A. over there, if you wanted, or take remote courses in Business management.

I hope this answers your questions!!

CA and BBA are different field.CA has own scope and its international recognized degree. If you do BBA and then MBA that will also be good. I will suggest you to do BBA and then MBA as it will take short time and you will get job. You should join IBA Karachi or Lums Lahore. Second option as you are good in Mathematics so why should not you select BS MATH AND THEM MS MATH LEADING TO PHD FROM Govt college University Lahore

I suggest you should go for BBA once you will complete your Graduation then u can get exemption in CA & parallel to your further Masters studies like MBA or MCom you can complete your CA as well

CA in undoubtedly the best as compared to BBA in terms of professional career and scope at market. I believe you can do it, once you started time will start flowing so don’t think about it. The extra time you believe you will taking in CA is good from the time you will wasting after BBA in searching job and then making your professional. If you’re really believe in yourself go grab it, best of Luck
