Query Statement: Sir aoa. I have done my fsc pre-engineering with 70% marks in 2013. I have already wasted my 2 years, I want to get admission in engineering in a government or semi government university, but I have got 94/400 in ECAT 2015 which is not acceptable for merit in government institutes. Now what you will suggest me, I’m from Jhelum and I have a chance to do BSCS from Punjab university Jhelum campus, or I have to go for bsc civil technology 4 years from govt college rasool?

Education Level:  Intermediate at APS college Jhelum cantt

Subject Related Skills:  I don’t have any internship experience right now, I have only intermediate degree.

Non Subject Related Skills: I basically want a department like where there is field work like civil engineer etc.

Interests: I have no interest in BSCS, I want engineering degree, my brother want to go for bba but I don’t have any interest in bba or bscs.

Career Objective: I want a career in which there is some field work, but as I had already wasted 2 years which has bad impact on my aggregate too.

Counseling(History): My father wants that I shiukw go for engineering in any case, as I’m from Jhelum, head rasool college is near us, so they want that I should go their for bsc civil technology, but I’m confused that bsc civil technology 4 years is equal to bsc engineering 4 years. My brother wants me that after completing my degree I will appy in any Arab country, and in Arab country there is variety for engineering.

BSc civil technology 4 years from Govt College Rasool is pretty good. Please opt for it as upon completion of the degree, you would get a reasonable job, being a professional degree.

Try to get admission in University of Punjab, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering. You can also get admission in VU or Comsat, they are also good in CS programs.

Good Luck

Asslam O Alaikum,

I would suggest that B.Sc. in Civil Technology is closer to your aspirations.  This can get you in your field of interest and you can start working. If you work hard, I am sure you can progress to senior levels, soon. Also, keep trying to get a job abroad, where they give priority to your performing skills rather than paper degree!!

You should do Engineering as you have interest in it
