Done FSC with 79.09% from federal board Islamabad – NED or Bahria University

Query Statement: AOA! Plz give me advise. I have got admission in Bahria University (Karachi Campus) in Software engineering but recently I have got my FSc result which is good (a/c to my opinion). I have got 870/1100 marks i.e 79.09% from federal board Islamabad ( I live in Karachi). Now I want to take admission in NED University. NED ka test 25 October say hai and meri bahria may classes 1st september say hai. Problem yeh hai k NED may federal board k sindh domiciled bachon k liye sirf 39 seats hain. Me nay NED k pechlay 3 years ki merit lists dekhi hain federal board ki jin may 870 marks walay bachay ka aram say admission huwa hai matlab uska first list may he naam a jata hai 18 merit number tak. Phr bhe I’m confused k agar bahria say seat chor de and Allah na kare NED may na huwa tou mera aik saal waste hojaega. What should I do now? If I’ll join bahria for now and mera ned may naam a jata hai october tou mere fees wapis na ho shyd bahria ki. Plz give advise

Thanks for the counseling.

As for the admission in Bahria Software Engg is concerned, notice that is its BE or BS in software Engineering? As my knowledge is concerned it is BS in Software Engineer and is also mentioned in Pakistan Engineering Council website. I have get information from Bahria and they replied that it is BE in SW program recognized by PEC. It is a good university but on the other hand NED is very good and have great value in the market.

You have got a good score in your fsc (79.09%), and you have also mentioned that students from Federal Board with Sindh domicile are getting admission easily. It’s good, i will give you 2 suggestions but you must tell me what is your interest in NED and in which department you are willing to get admission?

1- You have to carry on the classes in Bahria and prepare yourself for the NED, Insha Allah when you get admission in NED then submit an application in the Bahria for the refund of fees, then let the Bahria decides to return the dues or not? (How much fees you have paid to Bahria, one of my friend is working in Bahria University Management; i will contact and try to return your fees?). If Bahria is returning the fees then it is good, otherwise you have to compromise for the future.

2- If you are not selected in NED in the choice of department then you have a option to carryout study in Bahria.

Aik baat yaad rakhen ap, agar ap NED ma admission  usi department ma chahtay hain aur apka naam first merit list ma aajata ha aur  department koi orr milta ha tou ap kiya karengy? it is very important.. Bahria aur NED dono achi universities hain, Bahria Private hai aur NED semi govt.

Don’t be confuse, carry on in Bahria and appear in NED test and check the result of test, if you are selected in the NED in SW of CS or IT then go through NED otherwise Bahria is in your hands. :)

Wish you Good Luck :)

Firstly don’t take a chance .Secure your position in Behria by depositing fee and all (try if you can ask Behria to take fees of a quarter).

Secondly if you are interested in NED tau give its test and hope for the best if you can get into it.

Hasnain Malik

Don’t lose your Bharia seat and also try for NED

I congratulate you on your success in intermediate. You must discuss this with the Bahriya University staff. I hope they will support and help in this regard.

In case of enrollment in NED successfully, they may return some fee after deduction of some basics.

Don’t take risk take classes in Bahria, when the time of test commence go and appear it if you got selected leave Bahria then. Don’t leave Bahria before getting name in the merit list don’t be over confidence

Rakhshanda Khan

First of all, ask about refund policy of Behria University from any admission office/registrar or any responsible office. Also ask what is the last date for fee submission and conditions for the refund. If you really want to study in NED University then you need to ready for anything i.e. some money loss or all amount (If you can afford it and if you don’t want to waste one academic year).

Do you know how many students with same domicile and same marks (870/1100) have applied for admission? I know statistics give us some idea about trend but in this case you have no idea about how many students have more than 870. So don’t consider it, just start your test preparation. For the entry test try to study whole course (required for the test). Believe in you that you have the ability to pass the test. All the best.

As Salaam U Alaikum

You will have to pay fees for Bahria and join and then in the meantime apply for NED.

In my opinion please dont take the risk of leaving Bahria and waiting for NED.

Saeed Ahmad

Hi Ayesha,

I suggest you to continue your first semester from Bahria University and prepare for NED admission test. If you got admission in NED it would be great otherwise you can continue from Bahria University. You can also try to appear in BS admissions for Karachi University which is better option than Bahria.

Zubair Bajwa

Dear Ayesha,

Please don’t leave the confirmed opportunity, join Behria. You can try NED University also and if admitted switch; there will be financial loss but eventually you will be satisfied.

 Good Luck!

Imran Baig

 Stay in Bahria University
