Thank you for your query. The IVS has following admission criteria for bachelor degree program in different fields.

A student’s final selection is a three tier process comprising of an Aptitude test, an Interview process and Basic Eligibility Qualification.

I can answer your first question. Interior designing is an evergreen field with fairly good prospects across the globe. However, you must bear in mind that in some countries, this profession is regulated which means that unless you pass certain examinations, get registered with a relevant association and/or obtain a licence, you cannot practice as an interior designer.

However, the good thing is that quite a related career path is that of an “interior decorator” which can be practiced anywhere without any prerequisites. You’ll just need a solid portfolio to promote yourself to clients or employers. Here’s a helpful link for you:

As job prospects, interior designing is not very lucrative profession. The criteria for getting admission in IVS, you can check from the institute.

It is said the next century is of Arts and it is very much pursued and well paid in the western world. I will recommend it if you have great passion and endurance to go for it without financial rewards.

In our environment, it is better to go for sciences as our industry need more people in such fields.

Good Luck!!
