Education: PhD Forestry Programme from Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi,  POST DOC. FELLOWSHIP  from Chinese Academy of Sciences, China , – M.Phil Environmental sciences  from Quaid-e-Azam University , M.SC in Forestry  from Pakistan Forest Institute, University of Peshawar, Pakistan

Dr Moazzam , graduated from Pakistan Forest Institute, University of Peshawar, Pakistan in the field of Forestry with distinctions in the university. He worked in Punjab Forest Department as Assistant Research Officer then joined Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi as a Lecturer in Forestry & Range Management.  Being a PhD Students in Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, he has done his PhD research work analysis of Carbon Sequestration assessment & Carbon Budgeting in Forest & Rangelands in School of Forest & Ecosystem Science, University of Melbourne, Australia. Later he joined as Associate Professor in the Department of Forestry & Range Management and imparted forestry education to under graduate and post graduate students by conducting research in Forestry & Range Management with special emphasis on Climate change. Recently, he is with Chinese Academy of Sciences as Associate Professor / Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Global Change Research Group of Key Laboratory for Research in Tropical Forest Ecosystem. Currently working on temporal and Spatial variation of C stocks in Tropical Forests of China.

Dr Moazzam’s research interests revolve around management of forests and Rangelands through improved ecosystem services by considering involvement of communities in conservation, restoration and scientific management with focus on the spatial and temporal dynamics of Carbon stocks in forest & range ecosystems and assessment of Climate change on different land uses. Recently he has doing research to establish biomass expansion factors of the dominant species Forest Ecosystems to finally quantifying the carbon stock and sequestration potential. His research covers the issues of  Carbon stocking under REDD+, Climate change Impacts, Environmental Issues  and Forest, Rangelands and Watershed Management
